(1) About fragrances
Fragrances are divided into daily flavours and edible flavours, the usual juice drinks are flavoured with edible flavours, while scented candles and soaps are scented with daily flavours, which meet national standards and are harmless to humans. The composition of flavours is complex and consists of a variety of compounds or mixtures with odours, to which natural ingredients can be added, such as essential oils and infusions to increase the natural sense of fragrance.
(2) Flavouring ratio
The proportion of flavouring added is more than 3% and less than 10%, generally about 5% is very OK.
If you DIY yourself at home there are ready-made ones online that you can buy, but the essential oils inside the kit are rather poor quality and not very suitable for candles, it is best to buy some fragrance online, which is also very cheap.
1、Prepare the materials: you need a wax melting pot, glass, glass stirring rod these tools are not expensive, and the same is small, used to calculate the ratio, also very cheap.
2、Melt the wax: add the prepared soy wax (or beeswax, paraffin wax are available) to the wax melting pot, outside the wax melting pot you need to add a larger pot with water to melt it in water, so that the temperature is not too high to get the wax paste.
3、Fill the glass: pour the melted wax into the glass. When melting the wax, take care that the temperature is not too high and that it does not differ too much from the room temperature. If it differs too much from the room temperature, it will cause cracks on the surface of the wax when it solidifies and cools.
4、Add fragrance: add the fragrance you like into the wax and stir well with a glass rod, the ratio should be around 3%~10%.
5、Insert the wick: insert the wick when the wax has cooled down. If the wax surface is not flat after inserting the wick, melt some more wax to cover it. The wick can also be fixed in the container before filling the cup and then pouring in the wax. There are cotton and wooden candle wicks, DIY is recommended to use cotton, the burning effect is better.
6, decorative embellishments: available dried flowers and other decorative embellishments, of course, embellishments according to personal preference, fruit peel, branches, etc. are possible.
