Do you need report to the relevant departments when use food additives

Food production enterprises do not need to report to the relevant departments when using food additives approved in China. The National food standard National Standard for Food Safety, Food Additives use Standard  (Thailand food flavour wholesale) , issued by the Ministry of Health on April 20, 2011 and implemented on June 20  (Thailand food flavour supplier) , 2011, has made clear provisions on the use of food additives  (Thailand food Ingredient supplier) . It stipulates not only the allowable varieties, scope of use and the maximum use or residue of food additives, but also the appropriate amount of food additives that can be used in all kinds of food according to the needs of production. it is stipulated that when food additives with the same function (same color colorants, preservatives, antioxidants) are mixed, the proportion of their respective dosage to the maximum amount of use should not exceed 1  (Thailand food flavour wholesale) . 

Appendix An of the standard clearly defines the allowable varieties, scope of use and maximum use or residue of 240 kinds of food additives, and lists 77 kinds of food additives that can be used appropriately according to the production needs of all kinds of food. Appendix B lists 400 allowed natural food flavors and 1453 synthetic food flavors  (Thailand food Ingredient supplier) . Food production enterprises must strictly abide by the standards for the use of food additives. If we plan to use food additives which have not been allowed by National food standard in China, we need to apply to the Ministry of Health for new food additives or expand the scope of use.

Although, food production enterprises do not need to report to the relevant departments when using food additives approved in China  (Thailand food flavour supplier) . However, the Ministry of Health requires food production enterprises and restaurants and fast food restaurants to strictly apply for certificates (asking for production licenses of food additive production enterprises when purchasing food additives) and tickets (asking for invoices when purchasing food additives). The purchase inspection management system ensures that the food additives used are qualified products produced by enterprises approved by the state, and it is easy to trace back to the source if product quality problems occur  (Thailand food flavour wholesale) .
