What is the food classification system

Food classification system is to standardize and classify food scientifically, which provides the main basis for guiding food production, supervision and food safety certification. China's food classification system was promulgated in standard form by the State Administration of quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine in 2006  (Thailand food flavour supplier) . 

Food is divided into 28 categories, including food processed products, edible oils, oils and their products, condiments, meat products, dairy products, beverages, convenience foods, biscuits, cans, frozen drinks, quick-frozen foods, potatoes and puffed foods. The food classification system also needs to be adjusted according to the regulatory content. For example, in the standard for the use of food additives issued in 2011, the food classification system was partially adjusted and the food was divided into 16 categories. The adjusted 16 categories include: milk and dairy products, fat, oil and emulsified fat products, frozen drinks  (Thailand food flavour wholesale) , fruits and vegetables [fruits, vegetables (including roots), legumes, edible fungi, algae, nuts and seeds, etc.], confectionery [cocoa products, chocolate and chocolate products (including chocolate-like and substitute chocolate) and confectionery], food and food products, baked goods. Each category is divided into several subcategories.

According to the adjusted food classification system, it is used to define the scope of use of food additives. If a food additive is allowed to be applied to a food category, it is allowed to be applied to all food categories under that category in principle.
