What is the residue of food additives

The residue of food additive refers to the allowable residue level of food additive or its decomposition products in the final food. According to the standard detection method, the residue of food additives should not exceed the residue level stipulated by National food standard. However, most of the food additives in National food standard are calculated in terms of "maximum use", and only some food additives require their residues in the remarks column.

The maximum dosage is the maximum amount allowed for the use of food additives  (Thailand food flavour wholesale) , but for some special food additives, attention should be paid to the "remarks" requirements in the last column of the standard. In fact, as far as the quality inspection of finished products is concerned, the test results of almost all products are the content of residues in the products, and the "residual amount" of food additives in food products is generally lower than the "maximum use" added to food during production.

Therefore, if the food additive is added according to the standard stipulated by National food standard and the residual amount of food additive in the product is lower than the standard stipulated by National food standard, the product is safe and reliable.
