Part 1-proportion and influencing factors of fragranceing in candles.

The key to properly scented candles is to ensure that you use the right proportion of essence and soybean wax. Before the stability of the candle begins to be affected (that is, the oil on the surface of the candle), it is recommended that the amount of fragrance added should not exceed 12%. As a rough guideline, we recommend the use of 6-10% essence in candles.

The proportion of fragrances we add to candles mainly depends on the following three factors:

1. The concentration of fragrance you want. two。. The material of wax in a candle. 3. Evaporation temperature of essence.

Part 2-understanding the evaporation point of fragrances used.

Before deciding how much fragrance to add to the candle, it is recommended to understand the evaporation point of the selected essence, which refers to the lower limit temperature of the evaporation of the fragrance.

If the evaporation point of the sesame oil used is too low (that is, it can evaporate at a lower temperature), this will be a problem and try to avoid the use of aroma with a low evaporation point. (aromatherapy candles fragrance supplier)

For example, suppose you are using essential oils with an evaporation point of 65 degrees Celsius. When fused with wax, when the wax is melted to 80 degrees Celsius and above the evaporation point of the essence, it will cause the essential oil to evaporate as the candle cools and solidifies. The end result is that most of the fragrance will evaporate before the candle cools completely, so we feel a lot of fragrance, but the smell is very light. (aromatherapy candles fragrance supplier)

Part 3-how to determine and calculate the amount of essence.

To find out how much perfume to use is both art and science, it is recommended that the following two rules be used to estimate:

For light and elegant fragrances: you should try to add a higher proportion, such as 8% to 10%.

For strong fragrances: it is recommended to add between 6 and 8%, of course, if you prefer strong, can also be increased to 8% to 10%, depending on your personal preferences. (aromatherapy candles fragrance supplier)

The proportion of essence is best not too high, because too high will lead to candle oil phenomenon.

Part 4-how to correctly measure the amount of fragrance used.

It is suggested that when calculating the amount of fragrance added, it is best to use weight rather than milliliters. In reality, many candle factories often use milliliters to calculate the amount of essential oil, which is not the best method, because different fragrances have different densities.

Part 5-how to add fragrance.

To add fragrance to soybean wax candles, to ensure that the essence can be fully integrated with soybean wax, so we have to control the melting wax and the temperature of filling wax according to the evaporation point of the essence.

In addition, the mixing time of the essence after adding the candle is generally about 2 minutes. If the evaporation point of the essence is too low, the mixing time should be prolonged accordingly. (aromatherapy candles fragrance supplier)
