Is there a unified global standard for the use of food additives

There is no unified standard for the use of food additives in the world. All countries have their own standards for the use of food additives (Singapore food Ingredient supplier) , and they are not the same (Singapore food flavour wholesale) . 

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and the World Health Organization jointly established the International Codex Alimentarius Commission in 1963 (Singapore food flavour supplier) , under which the Food Standards Department is responsible for formulating various standards related to food. promote and coordinate the formulation of national food standards and fair food trade among countries.

When setting the standard, FSP mainly listens to the expert advice of the Joint expert Committee on Food Additives (JECFA). The General Codex Standard for Food Additives formulated by the International Codex Alimentarius Commission is also for reference by various countries (Singapore food Ingredient supplier) . 

The Codex Alimentarius Commission has also continuously held international conferences on revising food additive standards, and has held 43 international conferences on food additives up to 2011. The standards for food additives formulated by the Codex Alimentarius Commission and the revisions and supplements made by various sessions of the standards can be found on its website.
